1st April....
This time I would like to share with you some incidents of my life. Definitely it is not like some three four short stories altogether. It is a story of my life wherein it covers at least two most important years of my life.
Feb 2005..i had a great fight with my manager in the company and I asked her if u don't evaluate my work properly I should better go home for a vacation(Since I had been working for 1 year continuously without any leave) when I went to my home for one month. I met with all of my family members. it was a period of almost one year since I visited them(Again there are excusable reasons like one being the most funniest moment of my life i.e. leg fracture:DDD) because of 'em I could not visit my family...By the way...Do I really want to visit my family twice in a year? NO..No...I m not that kinda person who likes to visit their family more than once in a year:DDD
My company has a specialty (According to some seniors in the company), If u don't fight u will get nothing so same strategy I followed when I joined this company. this was a proven fight I knew that, it can be either be advantageous for me or other way around too. So after enjoying vacations I came back, By that time I got the visa so the day I resumed in the company, My manager called me and asked, Would you like to go to US??... (One thought came into the mind, All the dreams are coming true) then she explained me what is the requirement and all..n told, u have to be in this role only for 3 months after that u can switch over to some other work. Though I din like the work profile I somehow agreed (Money matters:DDD).
April 1st 2005 "The Fool's day" I started my journey (Don't laugh)..There has always been a curiosity in my mind. Why is it celebrated? What is the significance of this day? May be, this is the day to make everybody fool. I thought I got my life time opportunity (Dollar eyes:D)..How can anybody make me fool on this day (So confident:D)..Ultimately I landed in the US safely and reached at the place where I was going to stay...
For one month it was a fabulous trip for me..New place that too like US. I started liking so many things which was mere a dream for me...I tried all the new things..Everything was available in low price and was always mesmerized with the facility these people provide.
It went on for around 1-2 months..then I started missing my friends and started feeling like All the facilities are there and u have everything but nobody to talk...I was so confident for the two month that though I started my journey on 1st April I might not be fooled by my manager..But now I started realizing that its only mirage and I will keep running for money and that greed is perpetual.
According to my manager's promise my tenure for this role was over..So I went and asked my new manager, “My old manager and I had a deal"..Now can we decide something on this??..He said, Forget about the past and learn to live with the present. I was shocked and upset..How can he talk to me like this? (As if I was some James bond or something:DDDD)..he said before one year u can not go back and u have to be here without a single question then I realized it was a great trap for me..So now I understood the fact that I was fooled on the 1st April 2005[don laugh pullleeez:DDDD]..Now once u are suffered with something..U will never want to repeat the same in life..
So I myself made some assumptions like 1st April is worst day of my life..and I m soft target for the people and they can make me fool very easily...so I have to be very careful on that day specially ...and after that Somehow I managed to spend one year here(First of all Thanks to lord Orkut:DDDD).
March 2005, one of my friend forwarded a link for free tickets of six flags..It was the 45th anniversary of the SIX FLAGS (those who don't know about six flags it’s an amusement park)..unfortunately the pass was for 1st April 2006..i was so upset that if it hadn't been 1st april I would have visited the park..Now my friends started planning for this so they asked me whether u want to come (Normally I m the first person to go for such kind of adventurous activities in my friend circle:DD)..I tried my best to convince them..But they were never convinced as usual..They insisted me to book the ticket..Then I thought even though they booked the ticket for me I may always give some excuses on the day itself..
So I tried my best shot but it never worked.. I knew that doing this is not my cup of coffee..I was lying in the bed and morning they pulled me for the trip as usual. Unfortunately there were only two drivers..So I was given the responsibility (I thot I will spend my full day on the bed doing nothing)..I was again upset on my friends..But I cud never tell that wat is the reason? I drove the car with some ugly thoughts in the back of my mind..
So far so good, I cud reach the park safely. I took the deep breath at the entrance of the park but again I was thinking that day is not yet over..Then one after other they insisted for all rides...now it is a lunch time we were just searching for the restaurent..Which one should we go for?..Cheap and best..
We have already read the instruction printed on the ticket that only rides are free..Except that everything is paid.
Eventually we cud find a Chinese restaurant in the corner of the park which seemed to be decent and okay types..So headed towards the restaurant and then we discussed like wat to eat?..One of my friend went and asked for a hot chocolate ..The cashier replied, “Hot chocolate is not available now..Take these French fries”. He said, "But I asked for hot chocolate"...she said," Sir please take it. It’s for free”. We were standing just behind him. As usual we were ready to pull the legs of this guy. The girl was normal chinky types with good looks. So we started like she has a crush on you that's why she offered it for free. now one more friend went and asked for something like set of buffalo wings, French fries and coke...he asked for the price and he came back without paying a single penny...every time whenever somebody goes and asks why you are giving it for free?. She never replied a single word rather they just smiled and asked us to enjoy. Now it was my turn to go there to ask for something I was so scared that there is something wrong with this shop and this may be April fool fundaa again. So I just took one medium coke and asked humbly for the money. she replied, "its for free"....I thought definitely there is something mixed in this food that’s why she is giving us for free...now some more friends joined us and we advised them, Take whatever u want its for free and you have to take whatever u want in one shot coz next time u will have to pay. They went n got so many things and asked smartly. Do I need to pay anything??...she told guess..Guess..Yes offcourse..He asked, "how much?”. She replied, "20 dollars”. My friend was shocked and upset he thought we made him April fool. Actually we never did that...
Now I again thought there is going to be some problem today. It can not go so smoothly. So I thot may be while going out of the park they may take the money for free tickets. First thing I thought is that howcum only we got the free tickets but everybody else paid??
We enjoyed a lot full day and now it was time to go home so we headed toward exit and suddenly I saw some checkpoint on the exit. Normally on exits they don't check for anything. I was again sure of that they must be checking the tickets and they would recover the money from the defaulters so took a deep breath and reached more closely...me thot I don't want to feel embarrassing here in this crowd. So let me take out the money and pay it to them proactively...I took a 100$ and when I reached there on the counter I offered money to a beautiful lady standing on the counter...she asked what is this for?. I communicated something and she perceived something else hence unfortunately she thought it in the wrong sense and called the manager. He asked what the hell are trying to do here?. I said I m paying the money for the park. Then they realized and started laughing. I asked why are you laughing?. they replied, “Buddy its free for everybody today and this counter is for the stamping for the people who wants to come tomorrow also...it was too embarrassing for me...but still I thot, "I spent full day here and so far I haven't been fooled"
While returning also I cud reach safely and slept after that event...next morning I was so happy that this time in my life 1st April went smoothly without any problems.
